Bitter Sweet Love

In your fragrant memories,
I relive the days of our yore.

We fly above the clouds,
holding dreams in our eyes,
of a life we once wished for us.

Together we stand,
beneath the same moon,
you on one shore and I on another.

If only,
time could turn,
shores could meet.

But,
this is,
a kind of love,
a
love bitter sweet.

  1. "If only, / time could turn,"...Longing is so palpable here. There's much sadness in 'bitter sweet'. Beautiful, Vandana.

  3. It is.

When you are far from where your heart exists. Our world is full with opportunities to connect, and it is so easy for that to become -- and then burn, because there are some distances not so easy to bridge.

  6. This is heart-ripping... and true. Love, they say, can conquer anything. But is not true, sometimes reality is a monsters that love can't even stand looking in the eye.

  8. So often love is bitter... there is parting and ripping after the building, and then it raises again from the ashes.

Love can turn out any way it thinks fit! In only one can turn the clock back!
